Kokanje offers a wide range of facilities to meet everyone’s sporting and social needs. The impressive Sports Centre provides for badminton, a gym, snooker, table tennis, art classes, needlework classes, and more, as well as an excellent golf course located just 3 km from Kokanje.
A fully equipped thatched lapa is available for residents to rent for private functions, and an events bar is available to residents during lunchtime hours.
Kokanje also has its own lawn bowls, jukskei, and tennis courts, as well as a swimming pool for the convenience of the residents.
If the health of a resident deteriorates during their stay in Kokanje to the point where they can no longer attend to their own needs, and the deterioration is of a permanent nature, the person is transferred to the Frail Care Unit in the Service Centre and cared for with compassion. This includes personal care and wound care. Medical care is provided only on a doctor’s prescription. Transfers are subject to strict medical evaluation and the availability of beds. Additional meals and medical expenses are for the occupant’s own account.
Support services are currently provided in cases where residents are recovering after an illness or surgery. This includes bed baths, bathing, showering, wound care, and other medical treatment only on a doctor’s prescription. No full-time care/nursing is provided by Kokanje to residents in housing units. Residents must make their own arrangements and cover the cost for full-time care/nursing in housing units.

Kokanje is a lovely retirement village close to the town of Modimolle in the Limpopo province. The natural trees were retained and there is abundant birdlife and small animals. The people are happy and relaxed. There is a frail care unit.

Units range from 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom to units with 3 bedrooms and 2 Bathroomss.
An occupancy right is sold to the occupant and co-occupant, and a written contract is entered into between the buyer(s) and Kokanje Retirement Village. Acquiring an occupancy right means that the occupant and co-occupant obtain lifelong residential rights to a specific housing unit upon payment of a specified amount (depending on the type of housing desired) to Kokanje Retirement Village. No transfer fees or registration costs are payable. During their stay, the occupant and co-occupant are also assured of social and community care.
