Kokanje is a retirement village originally developed by the Association of Public Servants of South Africa. Kokanje stands proudly on a tree-rich piece of Bushveld land, 90 hectares in size. It is located in the municipal area of Nylstroom (Modimolle) with its ideal climate and unpolluted air.
Kokanje Retirement Village is a non-profit company that fully caters to the needs of senior citizens who have already retired or will soon retire and still wish to be independent, but who also want to be assured of proper care when health circumstances make it necessary.

There is a wide variety of committees that are established and managed by the residents. During the annual meeting of the Management Association, residents elect representatives from among themselves to serve on the Management Committee. The budget is compiled annually by the Management Committee, and a monthly levy based on the budget is payable by the residents. The Management Committee is pleased to state unequivocally that, for Kokanje as a service organisation, it is a calling to provide you with an affordable service of which you and we can be very proud.
If you are interested in becoming part of the Kokanje family, you are welcome to complete the attached application form and return it to us by return mail or email, together with proof of payment of the application fee of R500.00. The application fee is fully refundable upon withdrawal from the waiting list.
